Executive Officer - Tania Richardson
Tania joined PCAWA in Oct 2008. Although not from an equestrian back ground Tania brings with her many years experience in office administration, management and Finance. Through her children's participation in various sporting clubs Tania has gained valuable experience through serving on committees of other not for profit sporting organisations.
Administration Officer - Renee Peart
Renee has been working for PCAWA for the past 5 years. In that time Renee’s role has evolved greatly. Renee has taken on many additional roles since starting at PCAWA, from assisting subcommittees with Championships to accounts . Renee has recently completed a certificate in booking to add to her knowledge and exprience. Renee has a long history with Pony Club. She has been riding & competing since she was 5 years old and also represented the State in 2005 & 2006 in PPMG. Renee is also Chief Coach for Beverley Horse & Pony Club.
Administration Assistant - Christine Dragicevich
Christine started with PCAWA in April 2009 in a newly created role. Christine, along with Renee, assists subcommittees. Chris has 2 young children and has dabbled in endurance. Along with her daughter, Chris now enjoys riding her two thoroughbreds. Christine is also mad about her restored Volkswagen Beetle and enjoys time on the road. Christine brings to Pony Club many years experience in office administration and customer service.

Jnr Vice President - Rose Pinter
Rose has been a member of Pony Club for 8 years and has two children who are now members of Eastern Hills Horse & Pony Club. Starting out at Darlington Pony Club, Rose was a committee member before becoming President and is currently Hills Zone President. Rose is a member of Perth Horse Trials which organises the 3DE and ODE at Wooroloo. She has ridden as a child and now rides for pleasure.
Rose has been involved as a board member of many not for profit organisations for the last 30 years in the performing arts, film, music and arts industry as well as a being a member of several sporting organisations. She also brings several years experience as a Director of Fremantle Ports and Councillor at the City of Fremantle where she was heavily involved in policy making, strategic planning, fiscal policy, community development and major projects. She is a recipient of the Centennial Medal for services to the community and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
She is currently a director with her husband of their Film Production Design Company.

Val has been involved with Pony Club from an early age in Victoria and then in Western Australia, she also helped to start the Swan View Pony Club (now Swan Valley Horse and Pony Club), and is also a Chief Coach and Life Member. Val has served on the State Coaching Panel and is a Zone Representative for Swan View. Val has in the past served as President of PCAWA, Vice President of the Australian Pony Club Council (now Pony Club Australia) and is also an examiner at state level for C, K, C* and B.

Showjumping Committee Chairperson - Debra Walker

Debra is a mother of 3 children and works 4 days a week in her family business. 14 years ago she arrived at Swan Valley Horse and Pony club with her 2 boys and another friend’s son wishing to join the club. Debra’s daughter joined in the following year. Debra knew nothing about pony club and very little about horses, boy how things change when you have to learn about a sport which your children are very passionate about. Debra’s 2 sons have moved on to other work commitments but her daughter is still a member of the club. Debra has been on the Swan Valley (previously Swan View Horse and Pony Club) for 13 years and been President for 10 years. Since joining the club Debra has had various roles including delegate for the club and has been on the zone committees both at Hills Zone and now at Swan Zone. Debra has also served on the PCAWA executive for 2 years and was a National Subcommittee member. Debra has been the chair of the show jumping committee for quite a few years and is fortunate to have a great bunch of people to assist her.

THE PONY CLUB IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA

There are 81 Pony Clubs affiliated with the PCAWA, of which 68 are presently active. Each Club is also a member of a Zone, which is a regional group of Clubs. There are thirteen Zones in Western Australia. For Club contact details for any Club affiliated with the PCAWA, please refer to the the clubs, branches & links page.

The Pony Club, through its activities, is a world wide youth organisation for those interested in horses, ponies and riding.

It is the largest association of riders in the world.

It is a voluntary youth organisation which exists to promote the physical, mental and spiritual development of young people, encouraging in them an awareness of responsibility, sportsmanship and citizenship.

The Pony Club differs from other youth movements because the horse is used as the main centre of interest around which to cultivate strength of character and self-discipline.

The OBJECT of the Pony Club is to encourage young people to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses and riding and to provide instruction in riding and to instill in members the proper care of their animals.


 THE PONY CLUB MOVEMENT
Pony Club is a Youth Movement and uses the horse as a focal point of interest to train its members in the aims and objectives.
The Pony Club member must learn to understand and care for their pony, while at the same time learning to improve their riding skills.


  PONY CLUB AIMS & OBJECTIVES 

To encourage young people to ride and learn to enjoy all approved kinds of sport connected with horse and riding

To provide instruction in horsemastership and to instill in members the proper care of their animals

To promote the highest ideals of fellowship, citizenship and loyalty and to cultivate strength of character and self-discipline.

PPMG Development Squad 

Any PPMG rider considering trying out for the 2010 PMMG Nationals will need to ensure their entry form for the Development Squad are recived by the office no later than 17th March 2010 to be eligable.
