C Certificates

The State Coaching Panel is seeking to help more coaches gain their
C Certificate examiners' ticket.
These Certificates are carried out at Club level and so Zone and State level
we are not aware of when these exams happen.

What we are aware of is that we have too few examiners for what is required to do.
To this end the requirements for being a C Examiner have been reviewed and now
would-be
examiners need only:
Ø produce 1 group of C candidates as opposed 3 groups
Ø draft a typical C exam paper and understudy a C examiner
Ø carry out a C examination under the mentorship of a C examiner

To make this happen we need Clubs to advise us (PCAWA) of when you will be
holding a C examination. If you have had trouble  in the past in finding a C examiner
then we are trying in the longer term to solve that problem but we need your information,
so we can match C examinations with would-be examiners.
Please let us know so we can focus our effort.

  Coach, Examine & Officiate

Why become an accredited Coach?

Quite simply, coaches deserve to be accredited. They are committed to sport, they voluntarily give of their time and share valuable experiences while contributing to the sporting and personal development of their athletes.

Through the Australian Pony Club Council, the Pony Club Association of Western Australia has been granted accreditation to conduct the NCAS Programme, which is a National scheme, run in conjunction with the Australian Coaching Council.

The PCAWA does not have the authority to vary the requirements, and all candidates must comply with the regulations laid down.

Exemptions from various Topics in the courses may apply, for example if a Coaching Principles Certificate, a Certificate of Equine Management, British Horse Society qualifications, etc have already been attained.

Written confirmation of these qualifications must be presented to the PCAWA when applying to undertake the Level 1 courses.

If you have any queries about attaining any of the PCA-NCAS Coach Accreditation or wish to discuss previous qualifications, please contact the PCAWA office.

Satisfactory completion of these Courses will enable a coach to confidently teach riders at C Certificate level at Pony Club.
