PCAWA OPEN DRESSAGE DAY FUNDRAISER

This show is part of the
2012PCAWA Europa Dressage Series

Last weekend we saw the first of the PCAWA Dressage Days for 2012. Initially this event was to be run to help fundraise towards the running costs of the 2012 PCAWA Dressage State Champs and now that the event is over I can say we have made a significant contribution towards this year's event. In fact with 148 tests ridden last weekend EO Ben Verning and Events Coordinator Jacqui Moon have decided to be adventurous and run more competition days throughout 2012.

Please pencil the following into your diaries:
May 5th Dressage*,
June 17th Dressage* & Combined Training,
June 24th Indoor Showjumping,
July 21st Dressage* & Combined Training
July 28th Indoor Showjumping.

Back to last weekend and we were ever so lucky with the weather being overcast in the morning and we even had a few drops of rain. Luckily we did start early as by lunchtime the cloud cover was nonexistant and the weather hot and sticky.

Thank you to all our helpers over the event, to those that helped set up on Friday to our Marshalls, Gear Checkers and pack up crew on Saturday - I have had a lot of people comment to me how friendly the atmosphere was and how pleasant all the officials were - we aim to please!

We also had very good feedback from the adults that entered and we are hoping they all come to our future events.

As with all events or teams working together for the first time, there are some teething problems but hopefully by our next event we will be a well oiled machine. Hope to see you all at our next event - please spread the word !!
