In preparation for the 2011 Pony Club Australia National Championships nominations for the PCAWA Development squad are now open.
The PCAWA Development Squads will be coached in the relevant discipline/s of Dressage, Showjumping, Eventing and Games. Lectures will cover Rider Fitness, Mental Skills, Motivation and Pre-Competition Skills, Feeding the Competition Horse, Training for Fitness, Care of the Horse during and after Competition, etc, etc.
All applications will be considered and on-going assessments will be made during the development program. Riders at the required levels will need to provide sufficient proof of success. For nomination eligibility please refer to criteria on the nomination forms.
Riders will be responsible for all their own costs and expenses. It is strongly recommended that riders activly source individual sponsorship to assit with expenses.
If you like to nominate and you meet the selection criteria please complete the nomination form and forward to PCAWA office as soon as possible.
A development training camp will be held at Swan Valley Horse & PC Grounds during the second week of the April 2010 school holidays (12th, 13th & 14th). It will be compulsory for all those who nominate to attend.
This is a great opportunity as the National subcommittee have some fantastic training seasons planned in 2010/11 and we look forward to receiving you nominations.
