The PCAWA PPMG Sub-Committee is responsible for the conduct of a selection day, to which all eligible Pony Club members are invited. The Sub-Committee will decide the criteria for selection. At the selection day, training squads of riders will be selected.

Members of Training Squads will be required to attend training sessions as arranged by the Team Coach and/or the Sub-Committee.

The selection of the State Team will be made from the members of the Training Squad at a final selection day, held on a date and at a time and venue arranged by the Team Coach and/or the Sub-Committee.

THE PRINCE PHILIP MOUNTED GAMES @ INTERNATIONAL LEVEL

The International Mounted Games are Conducted annually.

Teams from Great Britain, the United States of America, Canada and Australia compete for the Prince Philip Cup.

Each year, 5 representatives from the States and Territories of Australia are nominated, two Pony Club Associations from the six States and the Northern Territory are ?balloted out' and are unable to nominate an International Mounted Games Representative each year.

When the PCAWA is eligible to nominate a representative, he or she is selected at the Selection Day for the State Training Squads or via the PPMG Sub committee nomination if a selection day is not held.

Note: The International Mounted Games is usually held in July/August, but names of the selected representatives have to be supplied to the Australian Pony Club Council no later than January 31 in the year of the competition. It is therefore necessary to select the PCAWA's International Mounted Games representative late in the year before the competition.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a report on the International Mounted Games to the PCAWA and the Australian Pony Club Council.
