Expressions of Interest to
HOST THE TETRATHLON STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
2013-2015
 
Zones or clubs are invited to submit an expression of interest to host the
State Tetrathlon Championships for the next three years. 
The tetrathlon sub-committee will supply admin and organizational support
to the successful Zone.

UPDATE
10th August 2011
The team have completed their first UK competition and are now on their
way to Ireland.
From all accounts they are having a great time and managing to
fit in a bit of sight seeing along the way including a course walk at Burghley.

17th August 2011
A great experience for all on the Irish leg of the exchange.  This is the link for the results from

After enjoying Irish hospitality, the team are now heading back to England for the
final competition.

The team are on a plane heading home as we speak.
By all accounts it has been a fantastic experience for everyone involved.
We are looking forward to finding out the full results and personal bests when the team
hits home soil, in the meantime congratulations to Rhys Browne for his individual 6th place.

DIRECTIONS TO GROUNDS
 
Avon Valley Showjumping and Pony Club is located at Equestrian Park on
Suburban Road.
The best way to get to Suburban Road is via Clarke Street.
 

THE PHASES OF THE TETRATHLON

1.    SHOOTING -                           Same for all. 30 metres .22 rifle target shoot

2.    RUNNING -                             All classes run 1,500 metres

3.    CROSS COUNTRY RIDING -   Championship............1.05m...........PCAWA Grade A
                                                    Open....................1.05m...........PCAWA Grade A
                                                                                OR
                                                        ........................0.95m...........PCAWA Grade B
                                                    'B' Grade...............0.95m...........PCAWA Grade B
                                                    'C' Grade...............0.80m...........PCAWA Grade C
                                                    'D' Grade...............0.65m...........PCAWA Grade D

4.    SWIMMING -                          Same for all. 4 minute swim.


  Results
AGES
Age is determined on first day of the Year.
HORSES
The One Horse, One Rider Rule will apply for all Pony Club and Open Classes, e.g. Horses may be entered for one class only and may not be entered in any other class.
RIDERS
There is no limit to the number of Competitors a Club can enter. If there are insufficient members to form a team, then they will be included in a composite team. Riders may only compete in one class.
ELIGIBILITY
Please refer Tetrathlon Rules, Part I Rule 1.
RIFLE SHOOTING PERMITS
Changes to Police Legislation in 1999 relating to shooting permits means that competitors no longer require shooting permits. Competitors will comply with the updated police legislation by:

* competing on an approved rifle range * the shooting competition taking place under the control of the Holder of the Firearm License.
